FusionEco FieldOps — Privacy Policy

How FusionEco collects, uses, shares, retains and deletes information in the FusionEco FieldOps mobile application for enterprise field operations and facilities maintenance.

Application: FusionEco FieldOps Package: com.fusioneco.fieldops Effective: 16 September 2026 Last updated: 16 September 2026

1. Who we are

FusionEco FieldOps ("FieldOps", "the App") is an enterprise field operations application published by FusionEco ("FusionEco", "we", "us", "our"). The App is used by technicians, engineers, supervisors and facility managers to carry out work orders, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, asset lookups and inspections on behalf of the organisation that employs or engages them.

This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and what choices you and your organisation have. It applies to the FieldOps Android application and the FusionEco backend services it connects to. It does not apply to third-party systems your organisation may separately operate.

2. Your employer's role

FieldOps is licensed to organisations, not to individual consumers. Accounts are created and managed by your organisation (your employer or the facilities management provider you work for).

In most cases your organisation is the data controller for the information processed through FieldOps, and FusionEco acts as a data processor on its instructions under a written agreement. Your organisation decides which data is recorded, who may see it, and how long it is retained.

Because of this, requests to access, correct, export or delete work-related records are normally handled by your organisation. We will support your organisation in responding to such requests. FusionEco acts as an independent controller only for limited purposes such as securing the service, billing our customers, and product diagnostics.

3. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to operate an enterprise maintenance application. The table below sets out each category, examples, and why it is processed.

CategoryExamplesPurpose
Account and identity Name, work email address, employee or technician ID, job role, assigned site(s), phone number (where provided by your organisation) Authentication, assigning work, attributing completed work, contacting you about jobs

Work and operational data Work orders, task and checklist responses, inspection results, meter and equipment readings, observations and notes, status changes, timestamps, SLA and priority data Delivering the core field operations service
Asset and facility data Asset IDs, equipment details, manufacturer and model, QR/barcode identifiers, site, building, floor and zone hierarchy, maintenance history Asset identification and maintenance record-keeping
Field evidence Photographs and, where enabled by your organisation, videos, voice notes and documents attached to a job Evidence of work performed, fault documentation, compliance records
Location Approximate or precise device location, captured only at the moment you perform a location-dependent action (such as site check-in or geotagging a job), where your organisation has enabled this feature Confirming attendance at the correct site and geotagging field evidence
Device and technical data Device model, operating system version, app version, language, device and installation identifiers, IP address, connection status Compatibility, security, fraud and abuse prevention, support
Notifications Push notification token Delivering work-order assignment and update notifications
Diagnostics Crash reports, error logs, performance and stability metrics, audit logs of security-relevant actions Keeping the App stable and secure

Offline use

FieldOps can operate without a network connection. Work orders, checklists, readings and captured evidence are stored in an encrypted area of your device's application storage and synchronised to FusionEco servers once connectivity returns. This local copy is removed when you sign out or uninstall the App.

What we do not collect

4. Device permissions

The App requests the minimum Android permissions required for its functions. Each is requested at the moment the relevant feature is used, and you may decline or later revoke it in Android Settings; only the related feature will stop working.

PermissionWhy it is needed
Internet / Network stateCommunicating with FusionEco servers and detecting connectivity for offline sync
CameraCapturing work-order photographs and scanning asset QR or barcode labels. Images are used only as job evidence
Location (approximate and precise)Site check-in and geotagging of field evidence, where enabled by your organisation. Collected in the foreground only, at the time of the action — never continuously or in the background
NotificationsAlerting you to newly assigned or updated work orders
Microphone (if enabled)Recording voice notes against a work order, only when you start a recording
Photos / media selectionAttaching an existing photograph or document to a job, limited to the files you select

5. How we use information

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

7. Sharing and disclosure

We share information only as follows:

Data is strictly segregated by organisation tenant. One customer organisation cannot access another organisation's sites, assets, users or work records.

8. Third-party services

FieldOps relies on a limited set of processors and SDKs:

ProviderFunctionData involved
Cloud hosting providerHosting the FusionEco application and databaseAll service data described in section 3
Google Firebase Cloud MessagingPush notificationsPush token, device identifier
Crash and performance reportingStability diagnosticsCrash logs, device and app version, diagnostic identifiers
Google Play ServicesDistribution, integrity and platform servicesDevice and app integrity signals

These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

9. No advertising, no sale of personal data

FieldOps contains no advertising. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising or targeted advertising as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws.

10. Security

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your information, we will notify the affected organisation and, where required, the relevant supervisory authority and affected individuals, without undue delay.

11. Data retention

When a customer agreement ends, data is deleted or returned in accordance with that agreement. Backups are purged on their normal rotation cycle.

12. Account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your FieldOps account and associated personal data from inside the App:

Profile → Account & Privacy → Request Account Deletion

You can also submit a request by email to privacy@fusioneco.com from your registered work email address, or via our account deletion page.

Important for organisation-managed accounts. Because FieldOps accounts are provisioned by your employer, a deletion request is routed to your organisation's administrator for authorisation. On approval we delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal profile data — name, email, phone number, employee ID, credentials, device identifiers and push tokens.

Work orders, inspection results, readings, asset history and captured field evidence are your organisation's operational and compliance records. These are retained by your organisation and, where retention is required, your identifying details within them are replaced with an anonymised reference rather than being erased.

We aim to action verified deletion requests within 30 days. Residual copies in secure backups are removed on the normal backup rotation cycle.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Because your organisation controls the data in FieldOps, please direct your request to your organisation's administrator or data protection contact in the first instance. If you contact us directly at privacy@fusioneco.com, we will forward the request to the relevant organisation and assist it in responding. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.

14. International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including where our cloud hosting and support operations are located. Where such transfers involve personal data protected by the GDPR, UK GDPR or similar laws, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision. Where your organisation requires data to remain in a specific region, that is agreed in its customer contract.

15. Children

FieldOps is an enterprise application intended for use by working professionals aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete it.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App, our practices or the law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Material changes will be communicated to customer organisations and, where appropriate, shown in the App. Continued use of FieldOps after an update means you accept the revised policy.
